I have sent letters and faxes, and emails to all company officers to put them on notice not to call my phone number any more. I am not the person that they are trying to call. I am now recording every call with date and time and sending it to my Attorney General and keeping a list to send to my Attorney to sue them for harassing phone calls. The email for Lisa Signore, Director of Legal Compliance Department is The President of the company is Michael J. Barrist. The fax for the company is 215-442-8253

NCO has called my home incessantly and left a scary-sounding "debt collection" message every time. After reading up on them, I caught them at their own game. I returned their call and before we went anywhere with the conversation, I demanded them to identify who in my home they were looking for and at what street address. it turned out that no one with the name they gave me lives at this address, and they had the wrong street address anyway. So end of our conversation and they took my phone number off their list. We'll see. My guess is that they go through the yellow pages looking for anyone with the same last name as mine (very common surname) and then start calls. They don't even know if the number is correct and we have no one in my family with the first name Cary. Not even close. Aha! Caught red-handed! I never received one letter or email from them, so this clearly is a common practice of theirs. Just call and harrass.

After checking my credit report I noticed there was 4 transactions with NCO that I had already settled over a month before running my credit check. When I called NCO about these transactions they said they could not find these accounts anywhere in the data base. I was then instructed to send an email to I have sent 4 eamils and sat over an hour on hold. Isn't it funny how when you owe them they have all the time in the world to call you around the clock and on the weekends; conviently when you have an issue with them and need to get a hold of them no one is around. So If my file can be found no where in their data base why is it still on my credit report?

So, after looking at many comments on here, I am starting to think that the person who writes all "?" for their name is actually someone who works for NCO. Who else would support and agree with the companies tactics?

Well my guess is that if the CEO of a company doesn't have the ability or authority to tell some one to remove that phone number from the database? Maybe they shouldn't be the CEO of the company anymore.

I do not think this was too rash of a way to handle this situation nor can I think of a better way than to contact ALL the top people of a company and put them on notice that they have a problem.

This seems to be a regular complaint about this company. Who knows? Maybe Good old Ralph1 there solved a lot of peoples problems by taking the bull by the horns.

Good for you Ralph!! I hope it worked!!

is the phone number new to you??? do you know who it was listed to before?? i am betting that is who they are looking for... try doing a reverse search of your phone number on whitepages and see what comes up... the other possibility would be if you moved recently, and they are looking for the person who lived there before.

either way, there are better, less rash ways of handling the situation. and do you honestly think that the ceo of the company is going to have the ability to remove a number from their system.... i would bet not.
